I’m thinking we need a new series all about outfit options to throw on before heading out the door to a kids’ sporting event. In this case basketball, but pretty soon we’ll be adding baseball…
THE WEEKLY SPREAD: FEBRUARY MEAL PLAN, WEEK 2
It’s going to be a good week, friends! I can feel it. Full bellies and a little fun in the kitchen are just the icing on the cake. And if you make it to the bottom of this meal plan, you’ll find a quick hack, too!
LIFE HACK: SATURDAY MORNING PLANNING MEETINGS
After years of attempted (and failed) meetings to go over our schedules for the week on a Sunday or Monday morning, Johan and I decided to give ourselves a little wriggle room. We now meet on Friday or Saturday instead; when the mood is light and ambition is low (read, more realistic). The difference has been rather life (and marriage) changing.
SIMPLE 5-INGREDIENT CHOCOLATE CHIA SEED PUDDING RECIPE
Today I’m sharing our favorite way to make chia seed pudding as well as a quick hack for those that don’t love the seedy texture. This recipe is so simple, good, and packed with nutrients, it’s a no-brainer to try! It’s also a great (healthy) way to cure your sweet tooth. We love topping ours with berries, banana slices, nut butter, chocolate chips, and shaved coconut. Let me know if you give it a try (@raeannkelly or in the comments)!
THE WEEKLY SPREAD: FEBRUARY WEEK 1
Is it February, yet!?
This month has actually flown by (unlike Januaries of the past!), but I’m feeling ready for a squeaky clean month so we’re getting a head start into February with a yummy meal plan!
18 OF OUR BEST PARENTING POSTS
Feeling a little burnt out on the parenting front lately. I blame it on the winter weather, cabin fever from being indoors (and on top of each other), and a generally frustration with trying to…
OOTD: AN EASY AND EFFORTLESS EVERYDAY OUTFIT FORMULA
Currently wearing the shacket, jeans, and sneaker combo, on repeat lately. Honestly nothing easier to throw on for the days that require hard pants, when I’d rather be wearing sweats. Layer on a scarf or beanie for some added interest and warmth and you’ve practically won the day and get a gold star for being all cute and effortless.
PLAYFUL VALENTINES FOR MODERN KIDS (AND COOL MOMS)
We did a little thing yesterday and opened up a Valentines Shop!!!! All designs are available printed or as digital downloads and I also bundled everything together for the DIYers with multiple kids (here). Here are a few more details for anyone placing orders:
A HELPFUL MEAL PLAN TO TRY: JANUARY, WEEK 3
Currently on our way home from a really fun ski trip with friends where we consumed way too much lodge food. So I’m feeling extra excited for this well rounded meal plan for the week ahead! Mostly looking forward to soup tomorrow night and whipped goat cheese for a snack. Easing our long weekend hangover by keeping things simple and choosing a lot of the recipes from RAK.
DINNER TONIGHT: A PARMESAN HERB CHICKEN THE FAMILY WILL LOVE
Throw these yummy ingredients together in a dutch oven or slow cooker for a (mostly) hassle free dinner the whole fam bam (and whatever friends are over) will love!
OOTD: HOT GIRL SH*T (STAYING WARM EVEN WHEN IT’S COLD)
Hot girl sh*t as in, staying warm even when it’s cold. Which is the only way to survive November through May in the PNW. Rounded up all the warm layers on my wishlist that are perfect for outdoor adventures, kid drop-offs, or for when the thermostat is set to 68 degrees (at least when your husband is home 😜). Outfit details are also below.
