MARCH THEME *STRONG FEMALE LEAD*:
The self-love, self-care, and main character movements have been feeling a little self-obsessive and self-serving (ew) to me lately. So we’re putting a spin on it this month! A strong female lead. Looking for that sweet spot where we heal and work on loving ourselves because it will make us more loving to others. And where we prioritize taking care of ourselves so we feel better, but also so we can show up, and serve the world, and the ones we love most in it. We don’t have to find ourselves at either extreme of the pendulum (either a human doormat or proud narcissist). We can work towards a life we love, wellness goals, and have a bubble bath (every night if we want!), without abandoning our values and making everything about us.
I read a quote the other day about how sometimes we think we need self-care when what we really need community, and I think this is so true! Maybe all this focus on self (not to mention social media and our phones in general), distracts us from what we really need: EACH OTHER!
Anyways, something to ponder as life (and our calendars) have a way of filling up in the spring!
MOODBOARD: Might just make this my pinterest board for life. I’ve enjoyed mulling over it for the last few days and hope you enjoy it too! Included are some of my favorite quotes and thoughts. A little organization, some inspiration for healthy food, movement, and social activities (like bowling, games, and girls night in!). Also, some unlikely muses in Pamela Anderson (did you see her special on Netflix?), Jennifer Coolidge, and Outer Banks. Basically a tom-girl aesthetic meets wellness socialite…. and it’s perfect for this winter to spring transition. Time to crawl out of our cocoons and spread those wings!

MARCH STYLE NOTES: On the lookout for good button downs! (one, two, three). Pops of color (one, two, three, four), and spring staples (one, two, three, four) to add to the mix. Also love this jumpsuit and quilted jacket. Shared lots of sweatsuit options in this post. I decided that I need these leggings :). Also, 75% sure I’ll be doing a spring capsule and will link everything in the next couple weeks!
WELLNESS: Still working on increasing my protein and actually upped my calories in February. Will share the process and what’s been working for me next week! This month, let’s add in a tablespoon (or 2) of apple cider vinegar (the unpasteurized kind). This helps with gut health, and schedule in some walking. Working hard at keeping things doable, ya know? Wellness should add to our life, not take away! Would you include any of these things to your routine? Do you have any wellness/fitness goals for this spring!?
EATING: Indulging in some comfort foods and soups, while the weather still allows. Also working on enjoying the time spent in the kitchen and have a full month of recipes to practice on! Click for the menu plan.
