WEEKEND WARDROBE, MARCH EDITION

Hope you l o v e b u g s all had the best weekend! I got zero laundry done, went for a couple walks, and either lunched or dinner with friends everyday, so you know it was a good one over here! Plus, the sun came out to play and made it feel like spring, which is reflected in todays weekend wardrobe recap. YAY! Links below!

  • SPORTS BRA – Wearing small and it’s super comfy… not for high impact workouts tho.
  • HOODIE – Wearing small and like how it fits but size up if you want more of an oversized fit!
  • SWEATPANTS (SIZE UP 1) – Wearing the small but exchanging for a medium
  • GRAPHIC TEE – Love the colors in this tee! Wearing an XS because I wanted it to be more fitted, but would be super cute oversized, too!
  • DENIM – Sized up 1 to a 28 so I’d have more room in the waist. Also available here in a light wash and here in a more cropped fit and wider leg! Oh, and just found in white, here… obsessed! With Agolde jeans, I highly recommend reading reviews and/or ordering two sizes and returning one after trying on at home.
  • CONVERSE – Converse run 1/2 size big so size down! Don’t see your size or want more style options, head to Converse – here’s the pair I have.
  • GREEN PURSE

BLACK SLING BACKS . AIR FORCE 1’s (that look like dunks, lol) . CONVERSE PLATFORMS

My favorite thing about a basic tee and denim outfit is that you can change your shoes and change the whole look!

A NOTE ABOUT THE AIR FORCE 1’s: I was getting tired of waiting for a black and white pair of dunks to be in stock and reasonably priced, so made my own pair of dupes out of the custom Air Force 1’s! So easy to make your own design and for the same price as a non-custom pair.

  • PLAID SHIRT – Wearing a small
  • STRONG SHOULDER TANK – Wearing a small
  • LEATHER (BUT NOT) SHORTS – Wearing size 2
  • COWBOY BOOTS – Mine are in “carbon” and I LOVE THEM! Available in all sizes right now.

Snapped these real quick before heading out the door to church and not totally sure these pics do the outfit justice, but each piece will be worn on repeat, together and Bare legs in March!

    Hey Rae!
    Love this post- definitely giving me some inspiration! You’re the best! I love the comment about shoes changing everything with a jeans/tee combo, so true. Also, genius tip about custom Air Force One’s- v unexpected, fun and feminine with a skirt too! I have a question- how tall are you? I am a 27 and wondering if those jeans would work for me too, I’m 5’7.
    You’re killing it!

IT’S VANILLA SWEET CREAM SZN WITH COLD BREW (for IT’S VANILLA SWEET CREAM SZN WITH COLD BREW (for me) & CHOCOLATE MILK (for them). The recipe is below - including homemade vanilla simple syrup (so worth the extra step)! 

YOU’LL NEED:

VANILLA SIMPLE SYRUP
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup water
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

VANILLA SWEET CREAM COLD BREW
1-2 tablespoons vanilla syrup (recipe above or use store bought)
1/4 cup half and half
1-2 cups cold brew of choice

HERE’S HOW:

VANILLA SIMPLE SYRUP
In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar and water. Stir until sugar has dissolved. (Make sure not to boil!)
Remove from heat and let cool for 5 minutes. Stir in vanilla extract.
Store in airtight container for up to one month in the refrigerator.

VANILLA SWEET CREAM COLD BREW
OPTIONAL: Beforehand, pour cold brew into an ice cube tray and freeze.
In a large glass, prepare your cold brew (or coffee) as desired… (hopefully over ice cubes made of coffee :).
In a different glass or jar, whisk together 1-2 tablespoons of vanilla syrup and half and half, with a handheld frother (or use one whisk attachment on a handheld mixer) to desired frothiness. Pour over prepared coffee.

Serve immediately and enjoy!

YOU’LL NEED:
1 medium zucchini, sliced into thin rounds
1/4 cup coconut milk (or milk of choice)
1/4 cup panko bread crumbs
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
pinch S + P (salt and pepper)
avocado oil (spray if you have it!)
marinara sauce and/or ranch for dipping (optional)

HERE’S HOW:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment (if desired). Slice zucchini into 1/8 inch rounds.
Pour milk in a small bowl. Combine panko crumbs, parmesan, salt, and pepper in another small bowl. Dip zucchini rounds in the milk and then dredge in crumb mixture. Place on baking sheet. Repeat steps for all zucchini slices. Before placing in the oven, give a light spray or drizzle of avocado oil.
Bake in oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until brown and crispy, flipping halfway through.
Serve immediately with marinara sauce and/or ranch, for dipping.

🤎THE 5 MINUTE NO BAKE ÉCLAIR CAKE RECIPE YOU N 🤎THE 5 MINUTE NO BAKE ÉCLAIR CAKE RECIPE YOU NEEEEEED🤎 My mom deserves all the credit for this recipe that she’s been making for my birthday (I hate the usual kind of cake) since I was little. Recipe below or at the link in bio!

YOU’LL NEED:
2 3.5 ounce packages of instant vanilla pudding mix
3 cups whole milk
8 ounces whipped topping (like cool whip), thawed
2 sleeves graham cracker rectangles
1 package mini chocolate chips (or cc of choice)
HERE’S HOW:
Whisk or hand mix pudding, whole milk, and whipped topping. Set aside.
In a 9×11 in dish or similar size dish or serving bowl, place a single layer of graham crackers – breaking pieces as needed. On top of the graham crackers, spread half of the whipped pudding mixture, evenly. On top of that, add another layer of graham crackers and then the remaining whipped mixture.
Top with chocolate chips as desired, cover, and chill in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours (or overnight) before serving.
Notes
The longer you chill, the softer the graham crackers become, but it takes days before they become soggy.
