OOTD: COASTAL COWGIRL + A BELATED HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY

Ready for the most incomplete roundup of pics from Mother’s Day!?

Speaking of, I hope your’s was amazing! I hope you felt loved and spoiled or loved on and spoiled your favorite mom, but if not I 10/10 recommend making up for it this week with a coffee date, long walk, afternoon nap, or other form of self-care. I personally indulged in a long nap yesterday even though I was definitely spoiled on Sunday.

Can’t believe I didn’t get a family pic or even a single picture with any of the boys. (what the heck!) But it had been a long exhausting week. I just wanted to soak up all the sunshine, good food, and quality time. However, since it’s been awhile since my last OOTD post and I had some requests for details over on Instagram, I thought I’d do a quick style post today. This was my best attempt at the Coastal Cowgirl look that is trending right now… I’m a huge fan and think there’s a lot of understated and timeless ways to pull it off. More ideas coming soon! COASTAL COWGIRL OOTD: oversized button down (wearing a Large, PSA: you do not have to spend more than $100 for a good quality button down… I swear by the men’s J.Crew shirts!), the very best jean shorts (wearing a 27, need them in the caution color too), western boots, tan purse (on sale!)

TILLY (14): graphic tee, denim shorts (wearing a 24, or these), converse (wearing an 8 – usually an 8.5 or 9 in shoes)

POPPY (8): wearing my hat, checkered dress (SO CUTE & COMFY!), sneakers, swimsuit (wearing an 8, on sale!!!)

Tilly’s been lecturing me on my use of filters. While I looooove her dislike of them (I guess I’ve done some things right) and don’t use one’s that alter your face or blur imperfections, I do love the vintage colors, tones, and graininess that’s added by a filter. Tempted to go filter free for the summer! But once things get gray and gloomy in the PNW, not sure I’ll be able to resist going back!

What do you guys think!? Pro filters? Anti? Don’t care?

(For reference, top and bottom pics have a filter while the middle two do not… it’s the extra tan-ness and pops of color for me, lol)
