Remember when I gushed about how great certain parts of last weekend were (the other parts were incredibly drawn-out and painful, I assure you), well this weekend was another cup filler as we did some very normal things like have friends over for pizza night, go for a bike ride, drive carpool for baseball practice, and even (drumroll) attend church!
After church on Sunday, the kids organized a full service spa in the downstairs bathroom (taking bookings now 😉) and Tilly and I made a Blue Tansy Face Mask that we plan on using later today (details are on Stories — will add to my essential oils highlight if you miss it). The night (and weekend) ended with a thrown together dinner, disagreement over where to hang hooks (sorry Yo), freshly bathed kids (the best), and a glass of red wine… admittedly not good at the whole “dry” thing, lol, but progress over perfection, always.
Anywhooooo, let’s get into some outfits, shall we!?
SATURDAY | sweatshirt (a fave), denim (love the color and super cute if you’re into “mom jeans” — just a little less tapered), scarf, sneakers (these would be so cute or similar)
Baseball babe. How long before he’s taller than me? I give it 6 months!
SUNDAY | shirt jacket (obsessed and wearing small), belt, denim (also obsessed — size up one!), shoes (on major sale — fit details below), coat, tiny star choker
These shoes (50% off rn) get lots of compliments and I love the thick sole. A couple things to note — if you are in-between sizes, size up 1/2 and if you have wider feet I would skip these and try these. I’d say mine are pretty average width, and they’re a little snug but not uncomfortable.
How cute would this shirt-jacket be with a cami, bodysuit, or bralette under for date night!?
DIDN’T KNOW HOW MUCH I NEEDED A TRENCH UNTIL I GOT THIS ONE! Wearing small.
The one thing Poppy always tries on of mine — coats!
SUNDAY, POST CHURCH | hoodie (so comfy and is a cute cut to pair with cutoffs or a skirt – wearing small), sweats (also insanely comfy and wearing small), slippers or in a solid color (wearing size 8)
If you haven’t tried the new MWL line of sweats and sweatpants, I highly recommend! This set was so cute in person when we visited the store last week, and a friend of mine has this set and loves it — super cute with any of these sneakers!
Before I sign off I wanted to leave you with something I learned in church on Sunday. You know how Ephesians 2:10 says “For we are God’s masterpiece.” Well, the original greek (or is it hebrew?) word for masterpiece means, POETRY IN MOTION. Gah! So the next time that negative self talk creeps in or your feeling extra critical of your loved ones remember, they/you/we are poetry in motion.
I love it! I love you! Happy Monday!
How was your weekend?
xo, Rae
