Peep the backyard harvest (come to mama!) and my new favorite athletic wear brand ADANOLA. The only thing that shocks me more than the fact that I live in a small town, have 5 kids, and raise chickens, is the fact that I (somewhat) successfully planted a garden and that we continue to be able to harvest yummy stuff from.
On the flip side — one thing that absolutely doesn’t shock me is my constant affection for athletic wear. From a young age, I had a thing for choosing and styling outfits, but by the end of the day you would always find me in something I could play in. There are even Santa photos of me wearing soccer shorts, an oversized tee, and high pony. How my mom allowed it is beyond me (a testimony to her love of authenticity) but while it would be so sweet to see my younger self in a festive dress, I can’t help but appreciate the accuracy.
I’ve shared several times about my belief that us mamas shouldn’t feel guilty about spending on items we wear often and that truly make our day easier and more enjoyable. So if you’re investing most of your clothes budget on nicer items, but you’re wearing athliesure for half or most of the week (like me), then it’s time to zhuzh up your legging and sweatsuit collection. The good news is that I’ve found a brand that’s incredibly stylish, fits well (and has no crotch seam in the leggings) at a price point that’s about half of my other favorite athletic brand, Lululemon. (*SIGH*) It’s a good day, friends and all the links and sizing details are below.
I wear a small in the sweats and medium in the bike shorts, tank, and leggings (I’m 5’7″ and weight 130-135). Also, I can attest to their comfort + functionality when it comes to actual workouts (like hitt, weights, barre, and aerobics) but haven’t worn on a run, yet :)
Say hello to Taco – one of Espen’s chickens.
I wasn’t going to plant carrots, but the girls insisted and I’m so glad I listened to them as they have so much fun pulling them from the ground and then washing, prepping, and eating them. I think it all comes down the the surprise and not knowing what size or shape it’ll be… like the food version of opening an LOL Doll, lol.
An in ground trampoline (via YouTube tutorials) is one of the best decisions we’ve made :)

RA,
Formal request for menu plans and maybe a brief update on the case with Johann’s work? If that is forward and inappropriate, please forgive me. Just care about food and liberties.

Yes! Working on a “what to expect” around here for the remainder of the year (it includes meal plans) that will hopefully go up tomorrow and then an update post later this week! Stay tuned. XX

Is that a specific in ground trampoline you did?? I love those such much better.

It isn’t! We have the Skywalker brand (which we’ve been so happy with) and then set it up without the net and found a tutorial for in-ground trampolines on YouTube! xx
