Can I tell you a silly story about a girl (me) and her adverse feelings for a certain trendy style coat (the sherpa teddy) turned love affair? It’s a good one with a happy ending.
This time last year when the sherpa teddies were all over the gram I thought, meh. It’s cute, and I love the texture but it looks like it would collect a lot of lint and become matted and it might even be a bit scratchy and is it actually that cozy and warm or would a cold breeze blow right through the clumps of fabric?
Then a month ago I was at the mall and I noticed another mom wrangling her kids in the cutest teddy coat over her leggings and hoodie and it was love at first sight. So I did what any normal-ish girl would do and walked over to say how cute her and her chillens are and how much I loved her coat and wondered if she would mind sharing where she got it.
She was super sweet about it and said she bought it at J.Crew. (Gasp!) Could it be the same coat I had passed over online so many times, crazy? Yes, it was! Even crazier is that it’s currently 50% off. Merry early Christmas to us!
I’ve had it for over a month now, wear it several times a week, and am happy to report that it is insanely warm, super cute, and still looks brand-new (no lint or matting).
Sharing a few ways I’ve been wearing it lately in case you need any more convincing.

Finally invested in a good pair of running shoes and am obsessed… will never go back.
