i’ve hinted at it a couple times in previous posts but am beyond thrilled to make an official announcement…
we’re expecting a new bundle of cuteness this summer!
today marks week 20, and as they tend to do once you have other children to take care of, it’s flown by.
i’m not usually the “love to be pregnant” kind, but it’s been a pretty fantastic 20 weeks. my mind and emotions race every time i think about adding a 5th child to our family but more than anything i’ve been feeling incredibly humbled.
looking forward to having this space to share and document the journey this time around and hope you don’t get all babied-out with updates or projects!
before i sign off i would love your thoughts… we go in for our ultrasound this week (i keep putting it off!) – yoder and i would prefer to keep the gender a secret, but tilly, espen and ozzie are dying to find out if they are having a brother or sister.
should we take one for the team and find out what we’re having or keep it a surprise!?
happy friday!

OH THE DE-LEM-A that youu have…hehehe. Congratulations on the newest addition to your wonderful family. I am happy for you all as there in no better joy then to welcome a new life to yours. I think you should have everyone write yes or no on a paper and vote for the answer. Keep us all posted on the progress.

Our first (and only so far) was a surprise. We LOVED it, but our friends and family didn’t appreciate not knowing so much. ha!
amy
i found out with my first and loved that i knew since i am a planner. & then with my 2nd i tried to not find out and loved that i didn’t know since it was so not my style. but ifound out on accident (too long of a story) when i only had 2 months to go. anyway, at first i was all upset but within 2 hours i was giddy, waving goodbye to the husband and first born as i dashed (well, waddled) to the stores to go shopping for my up and coming girl. anyway, i guess alls i’m saying is it’s fun either way. this is one of those times i say, follow your heart!!

I would keep it a secret – the surprise becomes all the more special for having waited longer. Just think, if you told your kids what they were getting for their birthday or Christmas weeks ahead of time, they would miss out on half the fun of receiving their gift. The suspense of anticipation does alot to add to the excitement! Congratulations and I hope everything goes well for both you and baby!
