Even though the basement renovation was technically “done” a year ago (in my head anyways) there seems to be several finishing touches that were still needed. So far Johan was able to check all of the electrical off the to do list, as well as the plank wall along the back, and about half of the white planked ceiling. Hopeful that the ceiling is that last project, although now that I type this, I’m pretty sure there’s some drywall that needs a skim coating, and a cement wall that could use fresh paint. Anywayyyyy, I guess that is in a sense the definition of home ownership. There is always something! Regardless, I’m thankful for this space, the kids that occupy it, and all of my husbands hard work. The latest update, that I’m sharing today, includes the finished plank walls along the back that are painted green smoke by farrow and ball (the pics do not do it justice imo), a portion of the ceiling planks, a very organized game and puzzle station (click to see the post), and some pretty accents. Things are starting to feel pulled together and fun for the kids, and I love it!
