saved by the trench (coat)

i’m always on the hunt for pieces i can add to my wardrobe that are simple and versatile, but that also make me look (& feel) put together without actually requiring me to be put together.

i mean, (side note) i have a hard enough time getting myself ready and out the door on time and then you add little people to the mix and some mornings it seems almost impossible, but that’s a whole other blog post.

it’s those kinds of mornings that makes this trench just the thing i need to grab from my closet when things get chaotic. i can throw it on over jeans (even the ones that have a paint stain on the butt from this little fiasco) or leggings, a tee and a pair of flats.

what’s your secret to getting out of the house on time? a simple hairdo, go-to brekkie, planning things out the night before? i’m dying to know!?

ps – hope you had a fun weekend! we spent ours visiting friends and going to a football game in our old college town – where our family began. felt so good to be “home”.
