Endless hours of pool and ocean swimming, summer heat, lack of brushing, and ice cream dipped ends can make for some dry and unruly locks but have no fear (!!!) I have a few easy tips and DIYS that will help tame the tangles and dryness for you and the kids!
BUBBLE BRAIDS:
An easy way to keep hair out of faces and tangling less. You can probably tell from the pics how to DIY, but I also made a reel here if you want to check it out!
TANGLE TAMER HOMEMADE SPRAY:
In a 16 oz spray bottle, pour 2-3 tbsps of conditioner. Add 5 drops each of rosemary, peppermint, cedarwood, and lavender (if you have it!) for extra hair love and to fend off unwanted critters (i.e. lice). Top with hot water and shake well until combined. Spray on dry or damp hair before brushing and styling to moisturize and detangle! SUNDAY BEST, TANGLE TAMER label found here.
MERMAID HAIR:
I swear by this not only for thickness and hair growth, but also as a pre-swim treatment since it’ll keep your hair from soaking up as much of the chlorine. Find all the details and the DIY, HERE!
AFTER POOL HAIR MASK:
In a 4 oz dropper bottle, add 10 teaspoons argan oil, 6 tablespoons fractionated coconut oil, and 2 teaspoons avocado oil (the kind you cook with!). Add 25 drops rosemary, 20 drops cedarwood, 15 drops geranium, and 10 drops vanilla. Shake well and apply a small amount to ends when hair is damp.
Why we use (mostly) natural, hair products:
You can shop our favorite essential oils and young living products HERE. Spending $100 qualifies you for the wholesale price as well as $20 via Venmo (or PayPal) from me! Feel free to email me with any questions (I’m here to help!)! However, if you’re not ready to take the plunge, I highly recommend trying a few of the NOW oils. They don’t have as big of a selection, are sometimes diluted (check the ingredients), etc., but they’re at a good price point!
What are your favorite hair products!?
xx, Rae
