Lockdown has done wonders for my (almost) daily workout routine — not that I’ve been perfect about it in the least, but definitely more consistent! Being home with everyone 24/7 makes it so much easier to set aside 30-60 minutes to focus on my health, and I’m feeling pretty bueno about it. As easy(ish) as it’s been I don’t always set aside the time afterwards to freshen up or change clothes, so figured it was time to update my workout gear to items I can feel good wearing all day. Ordered a bunch of stuff from Free People and Lululemon and wanted to share my favorites in outfit form with you!
OUTFIT NO. 1
- the karma leggings in XS/S… Love the waistband on these leggings so! much! And I feel like it hides my c-section scar/bump more than Lulu leggings. Plus they carry them in tie-dye (can I please get the lime and lavender colors) and a bodysuit!?
- White top – bought this on a whim and since I don’t usually go for the high-low hem, figured I’d end up returning, but I absolutely adore this top. Cute with leggings, sweats, bike shorts, running shorts, etc.
- This sports bra is great! I’m in-between a 4 and 6 in Lulu tops and ordered the 6.
OUTFIT NO. 2 |
- These sweats! I love them! The stitching along the length of the leg is such a nice touch and they’re casual and comfy but don’t bag out a bunch… Case-in-point, I had already worn them two full days and to bed once (lol) before putting them on for this pic.
- White top – bought this on a whim and since I don’t usually go for the high-low hem, figured I’d end up returning, but I absolutely adore this top. Cute with leggings, sweats, bike shorts, running shorts, etc.
- Slides are old but here’s the same in navy (men’s sizing!)!
OUTFIT NO. 3
- Oversized sweatshirt, they don’t have this blue but the pink color has been in my shopping cart way too long! I’m always between a 4 and 6 in Lulu stuff — wearing a 4 and it fits great but would get a 6 if ordering again.
- Love these shorts! They don’t ride up when running and are a nice length. Wearing a 4, but a 6 would’ve worked too!
- Crew socks are back (with shorts, sandals, over leggings, you name it!) and these are a fun pair!
OUTFIT NO. 4
- Only the cutest workout sweatshirt ever – especially if you plan on going in and out of the gym, yoga studio, orange theory, etc. as soon as they open, lol. And it’s reversible. Ordered the green and it’s perfect… not as neon in person.
- So torn about these shorts! So cute, the waste is uber high and flattering, but they’re a bit short and the built-in undies are tight. Going to exchange them for a medium and hope that does the trick!
- So happy it’s Teva season! Tilly and I can currently share shoes so I’ve been trying to convince her she needs a pair of Tevas (THIS PAIR!) for summer so I can add another to our collective closet :)
OUTFIT NO. 5
- Another completely adorable sweatshirt for pre or post workout!
- Bike shorts — I sized up and love them!
- Also so happy with this high neck sports bra, very cute and comfy! Ordered size 6.
- Veja sneakers forever!
- Blue light glasses 🙌🏼 saw these online for $50 then found the same pair for under $20 on Amazon, woot!
OUTFIT NO. 6
- Bike shorts — I sized up and love them!
- A fun tee! I’ve washed it a few times already and so far the distressing hasn’t changed.
- Veja sneakers forever!
OUTFIT NO. 7
- Bike shorts – the 6″ is a good length, but I’d recommend sizing up one from your usual legging size. Wish they had more sizes and colors stocked for you to choose from but hopefully they will restock soon!
- One of my favorite tees! Wearing a small in hot spot!
- Slides are old but here’s the same in navy (men’s sizing!)!
A couple questions before you go… 1. Did you share clothes with your mom when you were younger or do you share with your kids now? 2. Are you good about changing out of workout clothes when you’re done!? Maybe if I did super early workouts or actually had somewhere to go, lol 🤷🏽♀️
xo, Rae
PS – I pre-videoed a try-on that I’ll post in stories (sans filters) if you want a better idea of color and fit!
