I hope your 4th of July festivities were amazing! We spent the weekend at my parent’s little lake were I got to enjoy them, my in-laws, big and little brother (who live out of state) and his family and some of our closest friends on one beach. It was like a little taste of heaven that I didn’t want to swallow.
I’m a couple weeks into this whole capsule wardrobe thing and loving it. Still holding out for a pair of nude wedge or heeled sandals and a nursing friendly summer dress — which is a capsule wardrobe no-no since your supposed to be totally done with shopping (oops) — but other than that I’ve chosen 34 items and updated them on this post. Getting dressed is a cinch as is packing since I actually like everything in my closet and most pieces work well together. Don’t remember that ever happening before!
Here is a peek (with links!) at what I wore the first week and a little bit about what was on the agenda for the day, in no particular order:
1. Little kid Birthday party + errands //hat, top, jacket, shorts, sandals
2. First day of swim for the middles! // top, jeans, berks
3. Church + Father’s Day!!!! // top, skirt, jacket, sandals
4. Hot date for our 10 year anniversary that started with his & hers pedis and ended with the stomach flu. Somewhere in the middle was a delicious meal that I barely touched. I have since requested a re-do. // jumper, shoes, denim vest (not pictured)
5. Swim lessons, yard work and outfit winner of the most props from the fam // top, shorts, berks
6. No idea what we did this day but jumpsuits are my favorite // jumpsuit, sandals
7. Swim lessons, family bike ride and lots of computer work this day // top, shorts, berks
Now for a fun question. When it comes to fashion posts and feeds do you prefer real life bathroom mirror selfies, styled in front of a cool wall selfie or something in between?
I get inspired by both so I’m having a hard time deciding what to share with you guys. Thanks for the feedback!
