Excited to share a simple parenting hack that save Excited to share a simple parenting hack that saves my sanity and patience almost daily!!! πŸ’€πŸ€Here are 3 phrases or responses to stick to when the kids need a little reminder, redirection, or defusing:
1. Oops. Try again! (A good response when their words aren't kind or productive, or they kick their shoes off in the middle of the room instead of in the shoe bin 😝.)
2. Let me know if you need help/ideas. (When they're frustrated and throwing a fit and your tendency is to jump in and fix the problem... this phrase is a good reminder to play the supporting roll so they can play the lead roll as problem solver!)
3. That's a bummer. (For when the wambulance has arrived. Let them know you see/hear them and then follow up with questionsask what they want to do about it!)
4. BONUS: Give them a long hug. (Sometimes just a little connection and affection is all it takes to turn things around.)
xoxo
