Hello Loves! I’m currently working from a cute little condo with the prettiest view of Lake Chelan and just a few steps from the beach. We’ll be here for a full week kicking off summer (OMG!) and I’m excited to give a recap and spill all the beans because we’re staying at a fun summer camp style resort with tons of family friendly stuff to do, so stay tuned! In the meantime though, I thought I’d check in and let you know what to expect around here this summer. I love having this space and my blog friends (that’s you!) but if you’ve been around over the last 9 or so months you know that Johan lost his firefighting career due to mandates which is a life changing event for someone in that profession that also left a wake of broken relationships, emotional turmoil, and lots of stress. And on the heals of an already stressful season of working through pandemic policies, school closures, homeschool, etc. Not to mention the insane investment and amount of overtime on the frontlines by Johan.
Anyways, it’s been a hard season full of difficulty, but also amazing people and moments. I’m so grateful and excited for the future but still heartbroken over so many things. While the dust is still settling and things are still unknown, I’m holding fast to what I said last September:
It’s the HARD STUFF that often leads to the GOOD STUFF. THE BETTER STUFF.
And things are 100% looking up and I’m hoping you’ll stick around for all the good, better, best stuff that is coming and will overflow into this space too! While we figure things out and soak up the summer with the kids, here’s what you can expect around here:
- DAILY LOOKS posts (but probably just a few a week) with outfit links along with an additional tidbit such as a fun playlist, except from my journal, favorite quote or scripture, what we did that day, etc.
- RECIPES posts (one per week) since food makes our world go round, especially during the summer!
- A MIX of FAMILY, WELLNESS, + PRINTABLES or KID ACTIVITIES (one per week) my favorite kind of posts!
I guess this isn’t too far from my usual schedule, but the content will probably look quite a bit different as I plan on mostly using my phone for pics and will be trying to keep the copy short but still sweet!
(Post Friday morning workout class… didn’t regret wearing sweatshorts but was definitely extra sweaty!)
The kids have already been in the pool, on the beach, and back and forth between condos eating and changing and I’m ready to join them!
THANK YOU FOR BEING HERE!
Talk soon :)
